Chipping Norton, Homestead Park

Homestead Park, on the southern shore of Chipping Norton Lake, in the south western suburb of Chipping Norton. The Homestead is a heritage listed house built in the 1884 in the Victorian Italianate architectural style. Together with this old windmill and water tank, it stands as an example of the farms around this area in the early era.

  1. That windmill wouldn't be out of place in countryside settings here.

    1. But a bit surprising to see in suburban settings, as the city has expanded.

  2. And here's me thinking there is only one Chipping Norton. But once glance tells me there's two Jim.

  4. Interesting. The water tank would be small perhaps in comparison to current needs and times.
