Kingsgrove,Tin Lành Vietnamese Evangelical Church

Tin Lành Vietnamese Evangelical Church is located along Stoney Creek Road, in the southern suburb of Kingsgrove. It was originally built as the Kingsgrove Baptist Church in 1953. A Baptist Church had been on this site since 1875.

  3. One occasionally sees one congregation take on a former congregation's church like that. I'm reminded of a Chinese congregation which took on the church of a former group.

    I like the look of this one.

    1. That's happening a lot in Sydney these days with changing demographics in the suburbs and drops in church attendance.

    1. Yes, I couldn't find details on when the Evangelical church took over from the Baptist church but they have been there for at least 11 years

  6. Interesting architecture for a church! Would've loved to have heard the discussion of the building committee in how they make the decision (I am always curious about the process).
