This heritage listed former warehouse is located beside Iloura Reserve, on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour, in the inner west suburb of Balmain East. The J. Fenwick & Co. Boat Store was built in 1875 for the Fenwick Tug Boat Company, which was the earliest tug boat operator on Sydney Harbour. An adjacent administration building was demolished in 2008 to extend the open space of Iloura Reserve and the building was restored in 2011 with a new forecourt, turf banks and terraced outlooks.
Its architecture style is distinctive.
