Alexandria, Sydney Park, wetlands

Sydney Park is a large recreational area in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. The former brickworks were transformed into parkland and four cascading wetlands.

  1. I always thought having double the amount of rain we have in Melbourne would be a problem for Sydney. But you have beautiful, green and serene spots. In any case, climate change means weather has to be reassessed for us all.

    1. Hels, this park actually collects and recycles stormwater from the surrounding suburban streets to provide constant running water in the wetlands here.
