Botanic Gardens, Lion Gate Lodge
Lion Gate Lodge was built in 1878 in the Victorian style, originally the home of the Head Gardener in the Royal Botanic Gardens, it can now be hired for functions. It sits just inside the Lion Gate which has the two iron statues, "The Lion" and "The Lioness", standing guard outside. They were presented to the Botanic Gardens in 1912 and were restored in 1989.
