Alexandria, Sydney Park, wetlands

Sydney Park is a large recreational area in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. The former brickworks were transformed into parkland and four cascading wetlands. Stormwater is collected and recycled from surrounding suburban streets to provide constant running water in the wetlands.

  1. Good picture, Jim. It is nice to have some of Nature's stuff within the city. Might we rent a paddle boat there? Or catch a fish?

    1. These ponds cascade down with creeks and waterfalls so paddle boats won't go there. Not really a big enough place for fishing either.

  2. Interesting: I mad my comment, then wanted to fill in my name and url, but in clicking my comment disappeared, so this is my second try. Quite an ingenious way to also form fountains from the recycled water. Love you are showing this close-up to All Seasons! Have a wonderful week:)
