Darling Harbour, Dodecalis Luminarium

'Dodecalis Luminarium' is a large-scale inflatable sculpture temporarily located in Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, for the Festival of Sydney. Created by Architects of Air, the luminarium is constructed of translucent vinyl and features enormous air-filled domes and mazes inspired by natural forms, geometric solids, and Islamic and Gothic architecture. The creation expands on the geometry of a dodecahedron, with three dodecadomes joined by a web of tunnels, awash in intense, neon-bright natural light.

  1. Very interesting. But the looks of the sky it doesn't look like Sydney is getting any of the smoke from the fires.

    1. Yes, we've had some storms since Friday and with the rain, the smoke has gone away.

  2. You always have such fun events there, good to know the smoke has gone for you, if you could send the rain here it would help the drought. wishful thinking...

    1. Aumz, it has stopped now and we need more too. We've had a couple of hot days and tomorrow will be a scorcher with 40 degrees in the city.
