Darling Point, bench

A decorative sculpted bench in the gardens of McKell Park, in the eastern suburb of Darling Point. The Bird of Paradise or Strelitzia is the plant next to it with the striking bird-like orange flowers, native to Africa but grows well in Australia

  3. Hello, Jim!
The bank is gorgeous. I also like how the footsteps were laid. Strelitsia exists in Romania only in flower shops, it has no conditions to grow in nature. It is not hot enough all year round.
    Thanks for sharing!
    Have a great day!

  7. The carving on the bench breaks the mundane. BoP (Bird of Paradise) grows well here in India too. Its a very striking flower.

  8. So nice for the sculptor to decorate that bench else it would have been just another plain bench. Bird of Paradise is an unusual name for a flowering plant.
