Watsons Bay, wharf

The Pilot Station Wharf in the eastern suburb of Watsons Bay. The Watsons Bay Pilot Station operated under the authority of the Harbour Master and was responsible for providing pilot services to ocean going vessels coming into Sydney Harbour. Since pilot operations moved to Port Botany in 2008, it is now used by the converted Boating Safety Education Centre.

  2. Such a pretty seaside, the buildings make beautiful Reflections. We rode right past it on our ride from the Opera House under the bridge to the Duck but it was Mrs. Jim and I as there wasn't a tour guide to explain. But it was a wonderful ride. My bachelor son, Tim, dated a lady ship pilot here, Tim is a Boatman by profession, you may know, they tie up the ships that come into our Port of Houston at the Houston Ship Channel. We rank 5th in U.S. in tonnage.

  6. I remember fondly living at number five Wharf road in the early 1970's
Walking down the rather precarious steps to the little beach with my daughter ( who will be 53 this year )
My memory of those people in our street is still very clear!
