Lakemba Uniting Church is located on the corner of The Boulevarde and Haldon Street, in the south west suburb of Lakemba. It was built in 1911 as the Lakemba Methodist Church.

That is a bit different that the Methodist churches built in that time period in the US. Of course, it all depended on the wealth of the congregation. Most rural churches were build of wood in north Texas while churches 'in town' were brick in a somewhat Gothic revival look.
