Parramatta, Elizabeth Street Bridge

The Elizabeth Street Bridge crosses the Parramatta River between Elizabeth Street and Phillip Street, in the western suburb of Parramatta. It was originally a narrower bridge carrying pipes across the river which was replaced in 2003 with this pedestrian and cycle bridge. 'Wake' is a sculpture which adorns the bridge created by artists Susan Milne and Greg Stonehouse.

  1. Wonderful architecture.
Do you like to be into the British crown so much or do you think by now Australia should be... Australia?
The "new" Elizabeth Quay in Perth sure surprised by it´s name...

    1. I think Australia needs to be proud of being its own country and not be so tied to Great Britain.

  2. The sculpture is a very nice addition to the bridge. It has been many years since I have been to Sydney, would be good to get there again, but who knows when? Thanks.
