Clovelly, bay

These surf rescue life guards are on the northern concrete promenade at Clovelly Beach, in the eastern suburb of Clovelly. The swimmers are in Clovelly Bay and Coogee can be seen in the distance.

  1. Such a rugged looking place for a swim, but the view is spectacular.

    1. There are rocks and a concrete promenade on either side of the bay and a small sandy beach between them.

  6. Lots of swimmers. How cold is the water? That first jump in always feels cold!

    1. You can complete the SRC (Surf Rescue Certificate) from age 13 to be a Junior Lifesaver on patrol. You are not permitted on a surf boat until 16 and surf ski until 15.
