Surry Hills, Prince Alfred Park, rainbow walkway

This rainbow walkway is in Prince Alfred Park, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. It was installed in 2021 as a reminder both for how far the LGBTQI+ community has come and how far it has to go. The building behind it is Inner Sydney High School which opened in 2021 on the former site of Cleveland Street High School.

  1. Very cool! Reminds me of the yellow brick road in the Wizard of Oz - a treat for traveler's feet!

    1. They installed it to coincide with Mardi Gras but it's a permanent fixture.
