Maroubra, beach

A couple of surfers paddle out to catch a wave in the ocean as a group of children play at the northern end of Maroubra Beach, in the eastern suburb of Maroubra. The Big Rubik's Cube was originally a plain concrete block serving as a stormwater drain cover but in 2008 was painted by local artists overnight.

    1. That's a good question. They do seem to be sold in toy shops but can't say I've seen anyone playing with one in years.
