Surry Hills, Shannon Court

This is the entrance to a public housing estate along Devonshire Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. Shannon Court was built in 1953.

  1. Thia looks like a nice place. "Public housing" in the US tends to be for folks receiving "public assistance", and it doesn't tend to maintain its value. In many instances it seems to be a place of delinquency and hopelessness. This place looks well-kept, nicely landscaped, and rather homey.

  2. Some public housing is a good thing and some not so much. This one is quite inviting.
