Darling Harbour, sculpture

"Whales x 2" is a sculpture by Terrance Plowright which hangs above the escalators in the Cockle Bay Wharf building in Darling Harbour. The skeletal structure was carved in dense polyurethane foam, covered with a hard coat and coloured as per bone. The clear polycarbonate skin has stainless steel reinforcement and binding.

  3. That looks impressive! The Monterey Bay Aquarium in California has an orca hanging off a ceiling. I was reminded of that. :)
