Strathfield, Santa Sabina College

Santa Sabina College is a Catholic Dominican private school located along The Boulevarde, in the western suburb of Strathfield. It was originally built in 1894 as the Santa Sabina Convent, designed by Sheerin and Hennessy in the Dutch Renaissance style.

  1. I am not familiar with the term "Dutch Renaissance style" but I do like the feel of the building. It would have been perfect as a convent.

    1. Yeah. A month's rain in 24 hours and it's still raining. And this is the second time this year it has happened.

  3. I saw a report on the BBC this morning, the reporter standing next to a new bridge but all you could see was water.

    1. Yes, that's a new bridge that was supposed to be above flood levels but we have had floods higher than what was expected. Twice.
