Ultimo, University of Technology Sydney, UTS Tower

UTS Tower is on the campus of the University of Technology Sydney, along Broadway in the inner city suburb of Ultimo. Also known as UTS Building 1, the 27 floors contain many of the administrative units of the university. It was completed in 1979 in the brutalist architectural style from a 1968 plan by Michael Dysart of the NSW Government Architect's Office. This view is from the back entrance which leads to Alumni Green.

  6. The underside reminds me more of Frank Lloyd Wright and the tower is just brutalism in concrete. Nice conversation piece Jim.

  7. The University certainly has a high-tech appearance. I assume that form supports function.
