Bronte, beach sign

The southern end of Bronte Beach, near the rock pools, in the eastern suburb of Bronte. This sign warns of dangerous currents at this end of the beach and the lifeguard's surfboard is there in case of any surf rescues. After a recent storm there is quite a bit of seaweed in the water and washed up on the sand.

  1. A crisp clear day. I'll keep to the pool for a swim.

  2. When we were in Australia, nine years ago, we walked from Bondi to Coogee along the lovely coastal path. I remember Bronte Beach very well!

  3. Beautiful -- I enjoy wild beaches the best! It sounds cold-hearted I know, but I'm not sure someone who that sign tries to swim there would deserve to be saved -- putting the lifeguard at risk when the sign clearly states the danger!!
