Looking across the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) at Moore Park during an Australian Football League (AFL) match on Saturday night between the Sydney Swans and the Port Adelaide Power. The scoreboard above the Dally Messenger Stand is revving up Sydney just before the start of play in the fourth quarter. The clock tower behind the Bill O'Reilly Stand is at the former Sydney Showgrounds, which became part of Fox Studios Australia and was recently renamed Disney Studios Australia.
...the stands are full.
ReplyDeleteNice, looks like an exciting game
ReplyDeleteIt was. The score was so close and Sydney nearly won but missed a goal in the last seconds.
DeleteThe SCG is fantastic, both the ground and the grandstands. But I don't like a heart of Australia being given the name Disney Studios Australia. Imagine if the Sydney Opera House was renamed Moscow United.
ReplyDeleteDisney is not a city like Moscow. Disney is an international company that provides joy and uplift to the world. I think it's exciting that they are in Australia, where there are so many creative people! Thanks for caring
DeleteQuite a stadium.
ReplyDeleteThis Alarico seems to be everywhere today
