Glebe, shop

This shop is located on the corner of Glebe Point Road and Mitchell Street, in the inner city suburb of Glebe. The heritage listed building was originally built in 1858 as the "The Currency Lass Hotel" in the Victorian style but was substantially remodelled around 1925 in art-deco style. It is now home to the Vegan Grocery Store with residential space on the first floor.

  2. A vegan grocery store? Wow- we don't have any in our area but that would be perfect for me. Interesting history of the buidling!

  3. I've never seen a vegan vegetable store. A classic blend of old and new - I enjoy seeing examples of Art Deco buildings.

  4. I picture the residents upstairs having nothing but shade on one side, and others nothing but sun! Then it would switch. A vegan grocery fills a needed niche in demand lately. We all eat vegan once in a while and don't even notice, it's not that "out there." Although, I like actual cheeses.
