This is part of an extensive mural along the walls of the walkways and travelators leading from the underground car park to Rockdale Plaza shopping centre, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. The mural was created by Joe Whyte in 2022 and depicts historic moments and landmarks from the local area. This depicts the historic pier around Brighton-Le-Sands Baths which opened in 1928 but have since been demolished. It is related to the pier jumping mural featured last week.
Nicely done, I like the colours of the sea. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Jim.
ReplyDeletePiers seem to last about as long as some murals. I know several piers that have been demolished, mostly by sea and high surf. This mural is fabulous, Jim. Would be nice to have seen the pier in its day.
ReplyDeleteNice capture of the mural and its dimensional qualities.
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing mural, great captured
ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting concept with the way it's been painted on the angle it has.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work.
