"Passegiata" is an Italian restaurant located along Bronte Road in the eastern suburb of Waverley. The restaurant is located in a row of commercial shopfronts built in the Victorian style. This shopfront stands out because it is very yellow beside many beige ones.

Waverley, restaurant


"Bronte Road Bistro" is a French restaurant located along Bronte Road in the eastern suburb of Waverley. The restaurant is in a cottage built in the Victorian style and behind it are contemporary townhouses. A "YES" sign on the balcony was encouraging voters to support the constitutional change in the 2023 Australian Indigenous Voice referendum.

The Rocks, shops and gallery

A streaky cloud above shops along George Street at The Rocks. The pair of heritage listed shops and residences above were built in 1883 in the Victorian style. The heritage listed hotel building, later a gallery, was built in 1843 in the Georgian Revival style with Art Nouveau details.

Alexandria, warehouse


This former industrial building is located on the corner of Mitchell Road and Fountain Street, in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. It previously housed the Antique and Design Centrewhere a number of separate dealers sold antiques, collectables and designer items in retro styles. It was redeveloped in 2017 and now houses the Grind Pantry restaurant cafe and apartments.

Banksia, railway station

A train on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line approaches Banksia railway station, in the southern suburb of Banksia. This heritage listed station was built in 1884 as part of the Illawarra Line from Redfern to Hurstville but this shelter and lift to the subway concourse below were installed in 2021. The Tangara or T set trains are a class of electric multiple units that entered service between 1988 and 1995.

Hurstville, bank

This former branch of the State Bank is located on the corner of Forest Road and Treacy Street, in the southern suburb of Hurstville. It is now home to Vinnies, a St Vincent De Paul Society op shop. In Australia, an opportunity shop is what might otherwise be known as a thrift shop or charity shop. The bank was started as the Rural Bank of New South Wales in 1933 was started life in 1933 as the Rural Bank of NSW until 1982 when its name was changed to the State Bank of New South Wales. In 1994 it was sold to Colonial. The Colonial State Bank carried on until 2000, when it was taken over by the Commonwealth Bank.
