Martin Place, art

This is part of an artwork on a hoarding around conservation work at the Colonial Mutual Life Insurance building on the corner of Martin Place and Pitt Street. "Koala 4ever" was created by Elin Matilda Andersson, as an homage to the Koala - all at once a love letter, an apology, a promise that humans will be endeavour to be better companions in the future. Let's never accept the koala becoming a mythical creature of the past.

  2. A not so subtle reminder that no one wants to see koalas endangered. Stunning mural, Jim.

  4. What a cute mural, it has a very childlike quality. I do hope koalas are protected, they are iconic to Australia.
