"Mermer Waiskeder: Stories of the Moving Tide" is a public artwork hanging above Exchange Square in the inner city suburb of Barangaroo. Created by Ghost Net Collective and installed in 2022, it consists of majestic eagle rays, each one measuring 2.8 metres in width and 3 metres in length. They are hand-stitched with colourful ghost nets (abandoned, lost or discarded fishing nets) in unique patterns covering aluminium frame structures. A view of this artwork at night can be seen here.
