Chippendale, heliostat (Theme Day: Reflections in Windows)

One Central Park consists of two residential towers above a retail complex along Broadway designed by architect Jean Nouvel with artist and botanist Patrick Blanc, in the inner city suburb of Chippendale. The taller tower features a hovering cantilever heliostat with an assembly of motorised mirrors that capture sunlight and direct the rays down onto Central Park's gardens. At night, an LED art installation by conceptual artist Yann KersalĂ© creates a shimmering display in the sky. Central Park is an urban redevelopment of the former Kent Street Brewery.

  3. Pushing boundaries, and very interesting. I'm not sure I like the plant growth, but it's certainly unique!

  7. Very unique building with plants. A step in the right direction.
At night I prefer to see stars in the sky and not artificial LED lights...
