George Street, mural

'Peace Waratah' is a giant mural on the side of an office block at 309 George Street. The artwork was created by artist and activist Shepard Fairey in 2017. It is 44 metres high and 28 metres wide and features a beatific female with flowers in her hair, the waratah which is the floral emblem of New South Wales and the word "Obey" in an optimistic kind of way.

  1. She should say "peace", not "obedience" :)

  2. I remember seeing this one in Sydney, when I used to travel there regularly when my husband worked there for about 2 years. It's a great mural. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Jim
