Bardwell Park, war memorial

This war memorial is located at the Returned and Services League (RSL) Club along Hartill-Law Avenue, in the southern suburb of Bardwell Park. The obelisk stands in the middle of a memorial garden, dedicated in 1968 to the memory of departed comrades of World War 1, World War 2, Korea, Malaya and Vietnam. Today is ANZAC Day, which commemorates the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the World War 1 in 1915.

  1. Yes lest we forget. We in the United States also tend to forget how troops in Australia and New Zealand fought in some of the same wars as we did.

  3. With the number of people dying in wars it will be difficult to remember the individual souls. Hope peace prevails.
