This is part of an extensive mural along the walls of the walkways and travelators leading from the underground car park to Rockdale Plaza shopping centre, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. The mural was created by Joe Whyte in 2022 and depicts historic moments and landmarks from the local area. This depicts life savers who once patrolled the beach in Brighton-Le-Sands.

For whatever reason we don't really have life safers at our beaches. Which is weird as they can be the difference between life and death.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have at bayside beaches now but they are necessary at ocean beaches.
