This is part of an extensive mural along the walls of the walkways and travelators leading from the underground car park to Rockdale Plaza shopping centre, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. The mural was created by Joe Whyte in 2022 and depicts historic moments and landmarks from the local area. This depicts cars, a mechanic outside a workshop and street signage from a past era in Rockdale.
Nice one! I was not familiar with the word travelators. Here we just call them moving walkways.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that the word is not part of the vocabulary everywhere. We also seem to have a lot more of these compared to the rest of the world.
