Rockdale, railway station

 
A cloudy sky above Rockdale railway station, on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. This building is on Platform 1, viewed from Platform 2. The railway station opened in 1884 on the line from Redfern to Hurstville.

  7. Is the building really too small to protect the travellers on one side from grotty weather? Or perhaps the building was simply photographed from a strange angle.

    1. Platform 1 is an abandoned, unelectrified dock siding used for stabling track maintenance equipment.
