Haymarket, Station House

'Station House' is a heritage listed commercial building located on the corner of George Street and Rawson Place, in the inner city suburb of Haymarket. It was designed by Ernest Lindsay Thompson and built in 1915 in the Federation Free Classical in style with Chicaoesque design elements. It is home to a backpackers hotel and on the ground floor a travel agency.

  1. I am very glad this 1915 corner building has been heritage listed. I don't recognise the name Ernest Lindsay Thompson, but I can look around to see other buildings he was responsible for. Well done, Sydney.
