'Bellevue Cottage' is located at the end of Leichhardt Street, overlooking Blackwattle Bay, in the inner west suburb of Glebe. This heritage-listed waterfront building was built in 1896 in the Victorian Italianate style, originally as a residence but is now a French restaurant.

Beautiful victorian house
ReplyDeleteVictorian Italianate elegance overlooking Blackwattle Bay now paired with French cuisine is a perfect blend of history and indulgence
ReplyDeleteWhen the children leave home is the right time to downsize. This Victorian waterfront cottage would be perfect.

That looks like a really nice place for a dinner date!
ReplyDeleteCurious, I looked this building up on Wikipedia one time. As a tidbit, "In 1979, the band, Australian Crawl, filmed their video for "Beautiful People" at the then dilapidated and graffitied Bellevue."
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that building was demolished but thankfully this one was saved. I'm going to have a look for that music video.
