Vaucluse, bus shelter

This sandstone bus shelter is located at Cristison Park, along Old South Head Road in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. The cliffs on the edge of this park at South Head provide views of the Pacific Ocean.

  1. What a charming little bus shelter, the sandstone gives it such character. Do you know if it’s still in use, or mostly admired for its history and design? Wishing you a peaceful and lovely weekend. I’ve just shared a new travel post too, you’re warmly invited to read it: www.melodyjacob.com

    1. Melody, it's very much in use. A few minutes earlier there were five people in and around it, waiting to board the bus.

  2. That's a beautiful shelter. Now I want to climb the hill and see what's on the other side! I'll be poking around online to see if I can find out.

  3. I think people would appreciate protection from rain. After all, sometimes the waiting time might be half an hour.

  4. Definitely not like any bus shelter I've seen. I looked up the park. Beautiful location.
