The Metcalfe Bond Stores are located along George Street in the inner city Sydney suburb of The Rocks. This heritage-listed former bond store and warehouse is now shops and offices. The trees along the street are lit up with lights throughout the year.

ReplyDeleteThese warehouses were close to port facilities to store imported goods before import taxes (duties) were paid. By the late 20th century, shipping methods changed so the buildings were repurposed.
