This restaurant is located at Lyne Park in the eastern suburb of Rose Bay. From 1938, Rose Bay was the site of Australia's first international airport which was used by flying boats including Catalinas. In 1957, a restaurant and nightclub called Caprice was built here jutting out over the water. In 1994 the building was redeveloped into a fine dining restaurant with views of Sydney Harbour called Catalina.

ReplyDeleteI thought the design of the building was add for a restaurant. However, after reading it was once an airport, it made sense. Thanks for sharing!
