Sandringham, Georges River

The beach in the southern suburb of Sandringham provides this view of two yachts sailing from Botany Bay, heading upstream on the Georges River. The Towra Point Nature Reserve is in the background.

    WATER DITTY

A mist, a drop, a river, the sea—
All of this water, a gift for me!

Some snow, a berg, or maybe some ice—
Anything frozen, that would be nice!

  11. You would not see yachts or sail boats on our rivers in Alberta. Too rough for that here. How nice to have such terrific sandy beaches at the riverside!
