If you are ever out Loftus way on your photography safaris, I'd love to see a shot of the street where I lived. 7 Eighth Ave. I did an article on my blog about settling in Australia in 1949. I have a shot of what the street looked like then. It would be great to compare it with an up to date shot. You can find the old photo here: 7 Eighth Ave, Loftus
They look quite quaint now, don't they? I wonder if they have been renovated inside - suspect not.
ReplyDeleteThis is the nicest one so far.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures...I love the old buildings...I had thot of 'doing' firestations myself!
ReplyDeleteI read your comment on Sally's post today. I dined at The Wharf on Thursday last week and wandered around Sydney Cove on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSmall world in a big city ...
Yeah, it certainly is a small world Julie. All of us hanging around the same haunts. :)
ReplyDeleteI like your fire station series! Always interesting subject!

I'll keep that in mind diane. I want to go back down there and visit the tram museum at Loftus, so I'll see what I can do.
