Walsh Bay, Pier One

A glorious blue winter sky over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, viewed from Walsh Bay. Pier One on Dawes Point, overlooking Walsh Bay, was once part of Sydney's port facilities. It has now been converted into a hotel, apartments, shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. If you click on the photos to enlarge them, you can see a couple of adventurous groups of people doing the BridgeClimb on the Harbour Bridge.

  24. Yes Tricia. We have winter in the southern hemisphere when you have summer in the northern hemisphere. It's rather cool today but perfectly clear blue skies. I took these photos last weekend when it was also clear and much warmer. Winter but felt like late Spring.

  34. Look at those beautiful blue skies! I would never be able to climb that bridge! I might need medication just to drive over it. I have a real love/hate thing with bridges. They are so pretty but I'm always afraid they are going to fall.

  35. That's a view of Sydney Harbour Bridge I've never seen. A friend of mine did the bridge climb when she was in Oz. Me, I'd just like to have coffee outside the opera house and enjoy the view!
