Walsh Bay, wharves

Walsh Bay, located on Sydney Harbour at Dawes Point, contains a number of wharves that were originally part of Sydney's port facilities. The Walsh Bay wharves have been converted into theatres, offices, hotels, apartments, restaurants, cafes and shops. This view towards Pier 3 is from the balcony of The Wharf Restaurant at the Wharf Theatre.

  1. What an interesting use of the old buildings. I would love to have my office there - or to eat at a restaurant at that location and look out at the water view!

  12. I'm with Lois and ewok: I love shots of your bridge!

This actually reminds me of Granville Island in Vancouver. Lots of restaurants, markets and a micro-brewery there too!

  17. Aileni, I was thinking exactly the same thing today when I walked through the park in the city. It's the middle of winter here and there were so many European tourists who had stripped off and were soaking up the sun.

  21. It is great how they have cleaned up the docks. Our ship docked in that area when we arrived as ten pound poms in 1949.
