Homestead Park, on the southern shore of Chipping Norton Lake, in the south western suburb of Chipping Norton. The Homestead is a heritage listed house built in the 1884 in the Victorian Italianate architectural style. It was restored and rehabilitated into parkland in 1977. Together with an old windmill and water tank, it stands as an example of the farms around this area in the early era.

ReplyDeleteI followed the link, too, and was saddened by what we had allowed to happen in the name of progress. Learnt there was such a beast as a "sunset organisation". Sadly, though, the cottage looks as though it is falling into dishabille already.

I don't even know where Chipping Norton is but it looks like a really interesting area.
ReplyDeleteYes Ann, I do watch 'Packed to the Rafters'. It's one of my favourite shows and it has a good mix of drama and comedy. We're close to the end of the second season and it's still consistently the number one television series in Australia. It's screening in a lot of countries overseas too now.
