Enfield, Coronation Parade

Coronation Arch at Enfield was built to celebrate the coronation of King George VI. It is located within Coronation Reserve, which runs the length of Coronation Parade, between Liverpool Road and Georges River Road. The archway and reserve were officially opened in 1937.

  1. Isn't it sad that we have to have bollards in front of so many things nowadays. However, these don't look close enough together to stop a souped up WRX!!

  2. Didn't notice those so much Julie, until you brought it up. I was more concerned about the placement of the 'No Entry' sign which I thought spoilt my view and photo of the arch. I understand it's necessary but they could've picked a better spot for it.

  5. I've really enjoyed your historical posts! Really very interesting and fascinating to learn so much about Sydney. And this is neat -- yes, in spite of the bollards!

    Have a great week!
