Strand Arcade, Christmas decorations

The Strand Arcade is a historic shopping arcade, built in the Victorian architectural style, that runs between George Street and Pitt Street. The post Christmas sales started in the city on Boxing Day. The Christmas decorations this year were hung at various heights over three levels.

Cook and Phillip Park, fountain

This fountain sits in the square above the Cook and Phillip Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre. In the distance you can see one of the city's Christmas trees surrounded by one of the Living Colour floral displays, close to the nativity scene that sits outside St Mary's Cathedral.

State Library, Macquarie Night Lights

The State Library of New South Wales featured Christmas Projections on the Macquarie Street facade of the Mitchell Wing. This is my final look at this year's Macquarie Night Lights. A daytime view of the Mitchell Wing of the library, viewed from Shakespeare Place, can be seen here.

Hyde Park Barracks featured Christmas Projections, the light show on heritage buildings in Macquarie Street known as Macquarie Night Lights. A daytime view of the barracks can be seen here.

Sydney Town Hall, Christmas Night Lights

Sydney Town Hall has been featuring Christmas Projections, a light show depicting an Australian version of the 12 Days of Christmas, until tonight. The 12 Days of a Sydney Christmas featured are: 12 Wattle Blossoms, 11 Flying Foxes, 10 Kookaburras, 9 Blue Bottles, 8 Lots of Different Cultures, 7 Yachts are Sailing, 6 Blue Tongue Lizards, 5 Plenty of Parks, 4 King Parrots, 3 Bottle Brushes, 2 Old Echidnas and 1 Pink Cocky (Galah) in a Gum Tree. The projections have been on rotation every night from 8.30pm, just after sunset when there's still a little bit of light in the sky and throughout the night. St Mary's Cathedral, Christmas Night Lights

  St Mary's Cathedral is one of the heritage buildings in the city that is featuring Christmas Projections. Part of the College Street facade has been decorated with these colourful images that rotate every few minutes. The nativity scene that sits in the forecourt can be scene here.

St James Church, Macquarie Night Lights

St James Anglican Church in King Street currently features Christmas Projections, a light show on its Macquarie Street facade as part of Macquarie Night Lights. A daytime view of the whole church from this side, a few months ago, can be seen here.

Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Macquarie Night Lights

Sydney Conservatorium of Music is currently featuring Christmas Projections, a rotating light show on heritage buildings in Macquarie Street known as Macquarie Night Lights. A daytime view of the conservatorium, that I took earlier in the year, can be seen here.
