The boardwalk along the foreshore of Pyrmont Point Park provides scenic views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline. It will soon be officially named Stevedore Walk, to commemorate Pyrmont’s maritime workers and industries which were based on and around the site, from the mid 19th century until the second half of the 20th century.

Nice view! I have a walkway up now, as well...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. I love boardwalks.
ReplyDeleteA very nice view of Harbour bridge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great spot for a quiet morning walk...
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy it must be "wasting time" at this beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteA nice Sunday to you.
Beautiful. And it's neat that they are renaming this walk to honor the working people and to save their history for future generations. You live in a great area Jim.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to take a stroll along there. Don't you ever have crummy weather and skies!?
ReplyDeleteLinnea, we do get the occasional overcast and rainy day but I don't usually go out exploring on those days. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation, since the fifties.I must try to get there on my next visit to the emerald city.
ReplyDeleteNice Shots! I loved the wharf! We have to visit Sydney some day! Greetings!

What a lovely harborwalk - I'll bet it fills right up with strolling families, kids on bikes or rollerblades, and buskers too. Our promenade certainly does.
ReplyDeleteRobin, the boardwalk definitely attracts the families and the kids but it's not really a place for buskers. There are other places around the harbour, closer to the city, that attract their fair share of buskers.
ReplyDeleteThe boardwalk looks like a lvoely place for walking. Great shot and views!
ReplyDeleteGreat board walk, I don't think we've walked it yet, might have to change that in May when we come down to Sydney.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful place for a leisurely weekend stroll.
ReplyDeleteI really like your perspective on this beautiful park created on old docks. The new name seems appropriate.
