Summer Hill houses

Euroka and Merilbah are two heritage listed houses on Smith Street, in the inner west suburb of Summer Hill. They were both built in the Victorian Free Classical architecture style in the late 1890s.

  2. They are lovely! The one of the left looks a little better taken care of though.

  3. Beautiful Victorian buildings, and nice colours to go along.

    Have a good weekend.

  4. What a great shot. Very unique and lovely. Are they supposed to be the same color...it looks like the one on the left has been painted or pressure-washed...

  5. The suburb of the inner-west, especially along the railway line, are an architectural treasure. So different from out this way in the East.

  6. Jacob, they may have originally been painted in the same colours but they're different now. The one on the right has been neglected in recent years and desperately needs a new lick of paint.

  8. Lovely. Are they still private homes or are they open to the public for tours?

  9. The detail in the houses is quite remarkable. Shame the same TLC obvious with the property on the left hasn't been applied to the one on the right.
