Brighton-Le-Sands, beach

The empty beach in the southern suburb of Brighton-Le-Sands, looking out across Botany Bay. The beach volleyball courts and the swimming enclosure lie abandoned under the grey skies of Winter, except for a visiting seagull.

  2. Hi,
con il caldo che c'è stato in Italia oggi ( soffocante ) un bagno ristoratore ci vorrebbe proprio.
Bella questa spiaggia... l'acqua sembra invitarci :-))
    Buona giornata.

  3. Jim -- if that were an Oregon beach it would be summer time!Meaning that the sky is blue and the ocean warm-looking and people would be out playing on that gbeach if it were the Pacific Coast off of Oregon!
Now, since we're here in Florida, on the other coast, yeah it looks cold.

  11. ewok1993, it's too cold for revellers to be at the beach and the sprinkles of rain were keeping even the keenest walkers away.

  12. Beautiful beach shots....I would love to visit Australia.

  13. Also, in Australian terms, its a pretty ordinary beach, though a lot nicer these days than it used to be.

  14. Difficult to realize this is a wintery scene as we move into the summer season. Such game areas will be set up on Long Beach, New York, tho we don't cordon off swimming areas. The life guards build their hills of
sand every mile or so and watch from the top.

  17. Living in the opposite continent, the beaches here are never empty all 4 seasons.

    Wonder how cold it is.

  18. Ebie, I suppose we're lucky that our beaches don't always get too crowded. Today in Sydney we're expecting a top of 17 degrees celsius which is about 63 degrees farenheit.

  23. I keep forgetting that Australia is opposite to USA in weather. I have a niece in Canberra who complains about the cold, and its 102F here.

  24. In Sweden it is summer, but today it's only 14 degrees celcius! I think the beach looks lovely. I would love to take a walk there.
