Millers Point, Towns Place North
Towns Place North is a building that was redeveloped as part of the Walsh Bay Urban Renewal Project in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. The two storey timber-framed weatherboard building was built in 1910 as a detached office building at the port facilities here. The exterior has been restored and a timber footbridge linking to Pier 8/9 Wharf been reinstated, although it now links to a new Walsh Bay apartment block beside it.

ReplyDeleteHi Jim, This is a wonderful building. I am so glad it was restored. It looks splendid on the water. Cities need these special places to keep them from getting boring by glass and steel. You always find something different and interesting! Keep hunting with your camera.

Bill, from what I could tell from looking inside the windows, it looks like it's being used as office space now too.
