Circular Quay, buskers

These buskers dressed as surf lifesavers that are usually seen on a beach, pose for photos with tourists, crack jokes and display some antics for people passing by at Circular Quay.

  5. What a classic!! J Bar, thanks for your inspiration, my husband and I took our boys through the Botanical Gardens to the Art Gallery to see "Abstraction" yesterday!! I hadn't been there before (embarrassed to say). It was absolutely amazing. What a city!! How lovely is it when you look back at the sails of the Opera House and the glimpses of the Harbour Bridge. 6. Tracy, I thought I'd better include a link to explain 'buskers' for people in other countries who are not so familiar with the term.

Pru, it was a wonderful weekend to stroll through the Botanic Gardens and around Circular Quay.

  11. I LOVE buskers... their spunk and their talent. I'm surprised to see 'Tsuki say she has not seen any in France... I've seen many, many there, especially outside the Beaubourg (Pompidou Center) but perhaps not comedians!

  12. So they are NOT the real Mccoy? I almost wanted to ask which beach they work.

When I was at the Surfers Paradise, I was just splashing in the surf, next thing, a TALL, DARK and VERY HANDSOME surf guard tapped on my shoulder and told me not to swim too far out.

My niece said I should have pretended to faint, and he would give me a mouth to mouth. LOL

    You a volunteer?

  13. Ann, there are volunteer and employed surf lifesavers on beaches. I haven't been a lifesaver myself but some of my mates do volunteer lifesaving in summer.
