Tarban Creek Bridge

The Tarban Creek Bridge carries Burns Bay Road over Tarban Creek, between the suburbs of Hunters Hill and Huntleys Point. Tarban Creek Bridge is a concrete arch bridge which opened in 1965. It formed a missing link between the Gladesville Bridge and Fig Tree Bridge. It was originally planned to form part of a north-western expressway, which was never built.

  1. You know your stuff Jim. I have some old UBD's that cover the Lane Cove River in dotted lines of proposed expressways, Thank God they were never built!!!

  4. This is part of the Seven Bridges walk in October, Jim. Not a good walk all the way round though, because so much is along busy roads.

  9. I like the style of that bridge, very clean and open, yet it still make quite a statement.
