The Rocks Windmill has been installed in The Rocks Square from 12th April to 12th May. This four-storey windmill hosts events which explore the history and culture of The Rocks through art, science and imagination. It is a functioning wheat mill, providing hands-on experience for grinding wheat into flour. It is also an intimate venue for productions and events.
That is a big mill! Looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteI like the touch of red in the windmill itself. The red stairs are perfect for a Ruby Tuesday post. Nicely done.

Looks very Dutch ! Beautiful picture !
ReplyDeleteI would not have guessed it to be four stories. That is quite big! Lovely capture.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea that it is a functioning wheat mill, showing children how flour used to be made in the colony. But why is the building only going to be there for another fortnight?
ReplyDeleteI think this could have been an interesting permanent feature for The Rocks. Maybe not in such a central location but it would be great somewhere else.
DeleteI was wondering what the Rocks Windmill look liked. Nice to see your post.
ReplyDeleteAn unusual feature in The Rocks area! It almost seems out of place with the ambience of a "by the sea" area.
